How did I miss this: Slow en masse

On July 11th, the Atlanta Bicycle Campaign had a Courteous Mass as opposed to the better know Critical Mass. They followed all the traffic laws. All 103 riders stopped at stoplights which meant much slower progress through the city. Good for them! Slow is the way to go!

oh man, I would totally be there. It's the discourteous aspect of critical mass that keeps me away. Go Southern manners! I'm proud of you.

All that "Yes, sir" and "No, ma'am" growing must have worked it's way into our subconscious minds to make us more amenable to behaving courteously.

This is such a great idea. I hope we manage to copy it up here in Washington DC soon.
